Shoup Bridge Campground

Shoup Bridge Campground is a public boat launch giving trailered and car-top boats access to the water in Idaho, managed by Bureau of Land Management.

It sits on wide-open BLM public land with a dispersed, big-country feel.

Arrive early on summer weekends, stage gear off the ramp, and mind the parking for trucks and trailers.

Shoup Bridge Campground is reached by public road; follow the site's posted directions for the final approach.

On site and nearby you'll find Biking, Birding, Rafting, Tubing, Whitewater Rafting, Wildlife Viewing.

The surrounding public land supports the usual mix of outdoor recreation, and anglers will find rainbow, cutthroat, brown and bull trout, kokanee, smallmouth and largemouth bass, and sturgeon in nearby waters.

Some use here can be reserved in advance — book ahead for busy summer dates.

Fees:

Campsite nightly rates are $5/site and $2 per additional vehicle. Limit of one additional vehicle per campsite. Fees may be paid on-site using fee envelopes or with the Recreation.gov Scan & Pay App. 

Check the weather and any closures before you go, carry water, and tell someone your plans. Cell service is often limited on public land — download maps in advance and be wildlife-aware where applicable.

Practice Leave No Trace: pack out all trash, stay on designated routes and roads, and respect posted rules, closures and fire restrictions — bans are common in dry summer months. Keep pets leashed where required and give wildlife room.

Go early on summer weekends to beat crowds and heat, bring layers and your own water, and double-check current conditions and seasonal access before you commit to the drive.
