The surrounding public land supports the usual mix of outdoor recreation, and anglers will find rainbow, cutthroat, brown and bull trout, kokanee, smallmouth and largemouth bass, and sturgeon in nearby waters.
Best Time to Visit
Summer is the heart of the season here — warm days, long evenings and the fullest access — but also the busiest. Late spring and early fall are quieter and often more comfortable, and some access closes once winter sets in.
