Paradise Campground

Paradise Campground is a public campground in from the Sierra to the Pacific, managed by USDA Forest Service.

Sites here can be reserved in advance, and the campground books up on summer weekends and holidays.

This is a Public campground for tents and RVs.

Reserve sites ahead through the campground's reservation system; some loops may hold first-come sites.

Fees: All single campsite reservations are good for 6 people and 1 vehicle.
Maximum number of people per single site is 8 ($10.00 additional charge per person per night after 6 people.)
Maximum number of vehicles per single site is 2 ($10.00 additional charge for 2nd vehicle per night.

Double Sites
All Double campsite reservations are good for 12 people and 2 vehicles
Maximum number of people per double site is 16 ($10.00 additional charge person per night after 12 people)
Maximum Number of vehicles per double site is 4 ($10.00 additional charge per vehicle per night after 2 vehicles)
Extra Vehicle and person fees will be charged at the facility

This campground is good much of the year. Spring and fall bring mild weather and thinner crowds, while summer is busiest — book ahead or arrive early in the warm months.

The surrounding country supports the classic from the Sierra to the Pacific mix of outdoor recreation, and anglers will find largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass, trout, catfish, crappie and striped bass in nearby waters.

Check the weather and any fire restrictions before you go, carry plenty of water, and be bear- and wildlife-aware where applicable. Cell service is often limited at campgrounds — download maps and tell someone your plans.

Practice Leave No Trace: pack out all trash, keep a clean site, and store food securely where wildlife is present. Observe posted quiet hours, fire restrictions and pet rules — campfire bans are common in dry summer months.

Reserve early for summer weekends and holidays, or arrive midday on a weekday for first-come sites. Bring layers, a headlamp, and your own water if potability isn't confirmed, and double-check the rig-length and hookup situation before towing in.
